FC Bayern: Kimmich extends contract until 2025

National player Joshua Kimmich has prematurely extended his 2023 contract at Bayern Munich and thus set a sign. The 26 year old leaders signed until 2025 at the German record champion.

He knows that in FC Bayern he has the chance to realize all his ambitious goals. The package we can offer him is most attractive for every international top player, said CEO Oliver Kahn over Kimmich.

I do not see myself at the end of my development and I am convinced that FC Bayern is much possible in the next few years, Kimmich said, who retailed the contract without consultants themselves. In the future, the midfielder will rise to the upper salary category at Bayern and earn the hearing at best up to 20 million euros a year.

In 2015, Kimmich was replaced by VfB Stuttgart for Bayern for 8.5 million euros. For the Munich, with which he won 2020 the Sextuple and a total of six times the German championship, he completed 261 compulsory games (30 goals, 71 templates).

The extension could also be a signal to Kimmich's buddy Leon Goretzka, whose contract expires in the coming summer. The negotiations with the 26-year-old midfielder should hitherto be difficult. The Bavarians want to prevent a second case of David Alaba, who moved to Real Madrid after the past season.
