Fortnite Season 8 is finally here, and one of the new punchcard quests requires the players to harvest 100 metal from an alien crash site. The crowning final of the 7th season brought the massive alien mothership and his kidnappers to collapse and left Wrecks, which were scattered over the Fortnite card. These alien crash bodies harbor valuable booty and materials, and JB Chimpansky's Quest sends the players to harvest some metal for the war efforts. How to harvest in Fortnite Metal from an alien crash site
Alien crash sites are marked on the map with a burned, orange-colored earth. You can find in all corners of the map and you should be able to protrude fragments of the destroyed alien kidnappers from afar from the ground. You need to harvest 100 metal to complete this quest. That sounds simple on paper, but metal can be pretty hard on alien crashing sites. Their primary goals should be the great metal boxes attached to the destroyed kidnappers. However, these only give 10-20 metal so they need to search for other means to find enough metal. Metal chests count, so open all the chests you see, and hope you give you a lot of metal. You can also harvest ammunition containers for small metal quantities.
The thing with this quest is that the range is quite far, so you can harvest metal from unlikely sources. For example, at the Alien Crash Point near Misty Meadows, you can go to the nearby house and harvest the kitchen utensils. That alone gives you more than 100 metal, so check the areas around the crash points of Aliens on simple metal sources. If you do not want to look for themselves, then just go to that of Misty Meadows and go to the above house.
Once you have collected enough metal, you can continue with the hole card quest series by JB Chimpanski. On the map of the 8th season there are some NPCs with perforated card quests, so look for friendly faces. Completing these quests is a great way to get a projection at the Battle Pass of the 8th Season and brings you a step closer to the unlocking skins like Carnage.
