The new map of Call of Duty: Warzone is called Caldera and is an island in the Pacific. Meinmmo shows you new pictures of the island and the first reactions of the players. Many are excited, but there are also a lot of questions about 2 specific features.
What s going on at? Call of Duty has introduced the ReaLease timetable to Season 1 with a Roadmap by Cod: Vanguard. Also included in the release of the new map of the Battle Royale Warzone.
The new card is as big as Verdansk, but a lot of colorful, brighter and offers fewer buildings. The Volcano Island named Caldera comes to the Warzone on 2 December and Meinmmo shows you the first reactions to the holiday paradise, which will soon become a war showplatz.
Caldera reminds of the competition
On the discussion platform Reddit shaped within a few hours a large thread for the new map with over 3,300 upvotes and more than 450 comments (via reddit was 29.10. At 11:50 am). The mood in the thread is very positive and many players look at the release on the 2nd of December.
Apparently, the new map reminds many commentators to other shooters and are looking forward to the much more colorful optics in the style of a coveted travel destination:

But not everyone is definitely positive. Such comparisons also invite directly to transfer the negative pages of the competition maps to the Warzone Map, which also makes sense. So Keevot writes: That looks good [...] well, but very much after Pubg Sanhok. The visibility in the jungle is a moody beast.
Even the thing with the aircraft is not yet everyone and so means COD Tropper: Aircraft seem to be a bit too battlefield-moderately for a Battle Royale.
After 2 features is much in demand
If one compares the reactions with Twitter, here is a slightly more negative picture. Under the tweet of developer Raven software to the blog, the mood is heated (via Twitter). Here many players ask for a feature that they have long wish for Warzone: a FOV slider for the consoles.
This increases the visible image section and console players will feel for a long time disadvantaged. For Vanguard there was an indirect confirmation and also a Next-Gen version for Vanguard is safe. At warzone, there was no confirmation yet - but now it looks like Warzone get both: Next-Gen version and FOV slider on the consoles.
The second feature is swimming. In the engine of Modern Warfare from 2019, which also uses warzone, there is no swimming and accordingly not in Battle Royale. However, the new map is predestined for jumping into the cool wet. Again and again the question arises: Are there floating mechanics?.
If there are swimming, then there is a special wish. Rolteco writes on Reddit: Hopefully it s better than swimming in Cold. That s a joke LMAO.
Generally positive impressions of the new map
However, players express themselves directly to the new map, the comments are most positive. For example, Snoopuppers7659 writes on Reddit: Grade when I thought I wanted to stop, pull me back.
The best rated comment in the RedDit thread makes a change attentive to a change that is received very positively: I like the absence of buildings. Thestarwarsfan responds with: Never again 16 floors up to do a bounty.
Again, there are votes that fear that the lack of verticality leads to a lower replay value. -3055- declared that the many buildings in Verdansk have led that we knew about 1.5 years with Verdansk, while the Blackout map had lost momentum after 3 months. The large building variety has identified the charms of Verdank for the user.

The new map is very good on the whole and there have been many positive comments to the Warzone for a long time.
Finally, a comment of Kikkeroku, who probably summarizes the mood quite well: looks promising. I do not remember when I was really looking forward to the warzone.
