RB Leipzig: Nkunku elected to the player of the season

Christopher Nkunku from Bundesliga club RB Leipzig is the "player of the season". This was decided by the Bundesliga clubs, a jury and fans in the annual survey, as it was said in a message on the Bundesliga homepage.

With 20 goals and 13 templates in 34 Bundesliga games, the 24-year-old Frenchman only had to make Robert Lewandowski from FC Bayern Munich the promotion in the list of top scorers and was only one of two actors who had double-digit results in both ratings.

Seven goals in the Champions League, four in the Europa League as well as three goals and templates on Leipzig's way to the DFB Cup final this Saturday (8:00 p.m./ARD, Sky) against SC Freiburg round off his record year in which he also made his debut in the French national team.

Nkunku has been with RB for three years and has developed into a world -class player. His achievements, especially this season, drew numerous top cubs in Europe. RB boss Oliver Mintzlaff fended off all switching speculations this summer.

The Evolution of Christopher Nkunku - From Provider to Scorer Rather, after the new Champions League qualification of the Saxons, it looks like that Nkunku extends its contract that runs prematurely by June 30, 2024 and then with an exit clause and a considerable transfer fee.
