Are you actually real connoisseurs in MMOs and MMORPGs? Mango has put together some terms that only get true gamers. Test your knowledge here!
What are that for terms? Since there are video games (and actually clearly before), players shorten certain things or find terms that describe a certain circumstance. Meanwhile, it has almost developed its own language: the gamer-jargon.
Who does not travel in the scene, may not be a word? But behind each of these terms, something is done with the gamer quickly and precisely for information with others.
What are these terms for? This is important in many games so that the players can react quickly. Interaction is finally one of the most important factors and the unique selling point of MMOs. Since these terms were more and more overtime, there are now even proper vocabulary books, such as RAIDS in Destiny 2.
Such social conventions of the gaming world serve to transmit information as compact and understandable as possible. Therefore, about the fact that the color coding for rare items is almost always the same.
The terms we have put together for you come from all sorts of genres, from MMORPGs to shooters. Some of them are a bit more special, others more general and many should already know them anyway.
